The Remedy

What are God’s secret designs? Do you know? Do you know what God is doing? Well, I don’t either. But I know that he lives, that he is among us, and that he hears all our prayers. There is also no place you can hide from God. No, I did not mean the NSA or Red or Jason Bourne. These are all human inventions. I mean the Creator who made us all, the omnipotent and on ly One. We tend to forget.

If you want help from heaven, you have to pray very much, and regularly. If you want guidance in the way you should go, in what you should do, in what is right, then you have to pray very much and ask it of God. You may also ask your Guardian Angel for help, and you are sure to receive som beneift. He is your best friend. But in these times of uncertainty, our hope is in God.

Far from being irrelevant, as St. Paul says, “It is in God that we live and move and have our being.” So that makes prayer our best weapon. While we may be uncertain about Obama’s background or intentions, while we may worry about healthcare, while we have so many questions about where our culture is headed and what we should do, one thing is very certain. Our first step needs to be prayer, daily, and lots of it.

Our society has become more violent, so pray. Pray for those who are threatening the peace of our neighborhoods, our homes, our lives, our culture, our nation, our world. Pray for our leaders, our president. Pray for our ministers, our mayors, our congressmen. Pray for everyone, and pray for yourselves and your families. Pray especially for those who protect us. Pray for our planet.

And if after praying long, things do not go as we desire, we can always use whatever remains for whatever God’s purposes might be, hidden in the circumstances. But first we must do what we can to alleviate the situation.

God bless America and the people in it, and God bless the planet and all the peoples of the world.
