This chair has always sat on its dock in a corner of the swamp, seemingly abandoned by any owner, but always proud and glowingly pink in the greeny gloom. Last summer, I found it overturned and half-sunk in the brackish water, possibly by a storm or ice action in the winter. This summer, there it was, back in its usual spot, weather-beaten and the worse for wear, but still brightly glowing.
