“A lake is the landscape’s most beautiful and expressive feature. It is earth’s eye; looking into which the beholder measures the depth of his own nature.” ~Henry David Thoreau
There is a story behind this gloomy image, for gloomy I did feel just a few moments later! I wanted to capture the lighting on the far side of the lake through the trees with lovely cloudy reflections It was blue skies and white clouds on the other side!), so I walked out on the 3 section dock. I am not partial to my feet not being on solid ground mind you! As I aimed the camera UP, the dock moved in many directions, the camera was zooming IN, the water moving OUT, and I was going up and down on the dock! Need I tell you motion sickness set in in a second and over the rail I was so drastically ill, wobbling on my feet that felt unattached! Two very nice men getting ready to sail a boat saw me swaying over the rail and came to my rescue, helping me back to the shore where the ground was solid! I was so embarrassed, if I could have cleaned up the water I surely would have, but the thought of going back on that dock only made me ill again! LOL!
