“If a man loses his reverence for any part of life, he will lose his reverence for all of life.” ~Albert Schweitzer
Photographed in Mount Hope, New York, USA.
This image taken with the camera on my knee, set on macro, held in my right hand, as I sat on the bank next to the vultures prey. I always wanted to touch the feathers, as I have with so many other birds. I held the prey in my left hand to entice, took the picture, and set the camera down, and was then free to stroke the luxuriously soft feathers of this vulture as he ate from my hand pulling at the meat! So wonderful to travel in freedom!
