6 month old female leopard cub. She was watching her mother trying to save a kill from being stolen from hyena. Her mother rarely treed kills, so she lost a lot of them. Fortunately the cubs grew up strong and are doing well raising their own cubs. Lion Sands, Sabi Sands, South Africa

If I was pressed to name one favorite animal the leopard would be a sure candidate… You really managed to capture this one well, great light and sharpness. The peculiar effect of the shadow in the eyes initially seems to suggest it is half asleep / relax, but I think you actually have its full attention. Great capture!
