The RAAF General Dynamics F-111 gave its last public display at the recent Williamtown Air Show held at RAAF Base Williamtown/Airport, north of Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia on 18 & 19 September 2010.
This shot was taken on Day 1 and shows the aircraft doing its air show favourite (dump & burn) demonstration. The aircraft is blurred as it turns through the heat haze of its own exhaust.
The photo was taken with a Nikon D70 camera fitted with a Sigma 50-500mm zoom lens.

Thanks for the appreciation Spencer.
This is a really great shot , but can you do me a favour and add some information on the actual zoom used (even an educated guess would do). That way as long as it isn’t between 20mm and 70mm I can accept it into the Changing Zoom Lenses Group.
When it’s been added please resubmit it for moderation. and we will add it to the group.
Regards
Darryl

Darryl,
It is most likely and probably at the 500mm end of the scale.
