The photo show the Sopwith Pup Replica of the Royal Australian Air Force Museum (located at RAAF Base Point Cook, southwest of Melbourne) during its air display. This is one of two replicas built by the Transavia company. It differs from an original Sopwith Pup in having a steel tube frame (as opposed to the original’s wooden) and a more modern radial engine in place of the original rotary. Photo was taken with a Nikon D70 camera fitted with a Sigma EX 50-500mm 1:4-6.3 APO DG HSM zoom lens. The photo has been tweaked using Gimp software – brightness/contrast tool and sharpening filter.
