Artist's Description

This photo shows three jet aircraft from the Temora Aviation Museum. They are led by an English Electric Canberra bomber painted to represent an Australian-manufactured aircraft as used by the Royal Australian Air Force during the Vietnam War period. Following is a Gloster Meteor F.8 painted to represent the aircraft in which an RAAF pilot downed a Mig-15 during the Korean War and peeling off in the background is a De Havilland Vampire. This was taken at the Temora Airshow held at Temora Airfield, Temora, New South Wales, Australia on 23 March 2008.
The photo was taken with an Nikon D70 camera fitted with a Sigma EX 50-500mm 1:4-6.3 APO DG HSM zoom lens.
The photos were digitally tweaked using Gimp software – select/copy/paste to remove an imperfection and brightness/contrast tool and sharpening & cartoon filters. The photos were then rotated and combined using the filmstrip filter and then the rotation was reversed.
