The sulphur-crested cockatoo is one of the more common birds in Australia.
This one is shown feeding from a tree in a street in the country town of Bungendore, located between Australia’s Capital City of Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory and the New South Wales country town of Goulburn.
The date was 8 March 2013.
The photo was taken with a Nikon D90 camera fitted with a Tamron AF Aspherical XR Di LD [IF] 28-300mm 1:3.5-6.3 Macro zoom lens plus polarizing filter.
The photo was tweaked using Gimp software – brightness/contrast tool and sharpening & cartoon filters.
