In 1989 the famous steam engine, “Flying Scotsman”, visited Australia to give several tours within the country – some in company with other local locomotives.
In this photo the train is led by the NSW Government Railway steam engine ‘3801’ with the “Flying Scotsman” behind is traveling through some curve near Macquarie Rivulet east of the south coast hinterland town of Robertson, New South Wales, Australia in the late afternoon of 28 August 1989.
The photo was taken with an Asahi Pentax SPII camera fitted with a zoom lens of approximately 200mm using Kodak Kodachrome colour transparency film
.
The photo was tweaked using Gimp software – select/copy/paste to remove imperfections, brightness/contrast tools and sharpening & cartoon filters.
