The square-rigged sailing ship, "Oosterschelde’ visited Australia in 2013 to participate in the Royal Australian Navy’ Fleet Review. This was to celebrate the centenary of the R.A.N. and the arrival of their first ships in Sydney in 1913.
This photo was taken on 6 October 2013 and shows the “Oosterschelde” departing Cockle Bay, through the rarely-opened Pyrmont Bridge, into the greater Darling Harbour.
The photo was taken with a Nikon D90 camera fitted with a Tamron AF Aspherical XR Di LD [IF] 28-300mm 1:3.5-6.3 Macro zoom lens.
The photo was tweaked using Gimp software – brightness/contrast tool and sharpening filter.
