The square-rigged sailing tall ship “Oosterschelde” from Rotterdam in the Netherlands was one of the visiting ships that came to Sydney Harbour for the Royal Australian Navy Fleet Review celebrations in 2013.
The Fleet Review was held to celebrate the centenary of the establishment of the Royal Australian Navy and the arrival of their first ships into Sydney Harbour in 1913.
The photo was taken with a Nikon D90 camera fitted with a Tamron AF Aspherical XR Di LD [IF] 28-300mm 1:3.5-6.3 Macro zoom lens plus polarizing filter.
The photo was tweaked using Gimp software – brightness/contrast tool and sharpening filter.
I think that “Oosterschelde” might mean “oyster shell” in English.
