The Naval Aviation Museum at the Royal Australian Navy Air Base, HMAS Albatross held a Family Air Day there on 23 November 1997.
HMAS Albatross is south of Nowra on the south coast of New South Wales, Australia.
This Augusta/Bell 47-G-2A1 VH-SHP helicopter was being used for local joy flights during the air show. It is the same type that was used in the popular American television series, “M.A.S.H.”
The photo was taken with a Nikon F3 camera fitted with a Reflex-NIKKOR 1000mm f11 mirror lens.
The photo was tweaked using Gimp software – select/copy/paste tools to remove some imperfection and brightness/contrast tool and sharpening filter.
