This is a parody design inspired by the 1970s LP (long play) record album “Tubular Bells” of English musician Mike Oldfield,
This new recording by mythical Finnish classical electro punk musician Mika Coldfield was also inspired by “Tubular Bells”
The sea image was taken from a photograph taken at Werrong Beach in the Royal National Park between Wollongong and Sydney, New South Wales, Australia using the still camera facility of a Panasonic NV-GS35 digital video camera. The cloud and sky image was also taken at Werrong Beach (at a different date) using a Nikon D70 camera.
The design was made using Gimp software. Select/copy/paste tools were used to place the sea image (it was tweaked using colour-curves tool beforehand) and then the cloud/sky image on the template.
The image of the tubular bell from “Tubular Bells” album was isolated using select and clear and then warped using distort-polar co-ordinates filter and then placed on a new layer above the sea & cloud/sky images. Move and scale tools were used to arrange the elements. Titles were added using text tool and credits were added using select/copy/paste.
