This Extra 300 aerobatic aircraft (VH-PIP) performed at the Deniliquin Air Show at Deniliquin Airport, Deniliquin in south western New South Wales, Australia on 30 November 2002.
The pilot was Pip Boorman who was sadly killed in a crash at Tyabb Airport in Victoria some years later while testing a new Pitts aerobatic aircraft he had purchased.
The photo was taken with a Nikon F3 camera fitted with a Reflex-Nikkor f11 1000mm mirror lens.
The photo was tweaked using Gimp software – smudge tool to remove some imperfections and brightness/contrast tool and sharpening filter.
