Capturing faces and places on film (or digital) over the Christmas holidays could earn for you a great prize in the Ballan Lions Club’s first Photography Competition and Exhibition.

The theme is “Faces and Places of Moorabool” and entrants have the option of either just exhibiting their photographs for sales, or entering one of the three categories for a prize.

Children can enter up to three photographs in the Primary School age group or Secondary School age group, and there is an open section for everyone. Entries submitted in the competition must be in 4”x6” printed format.

The fee for each competition entry is $5; and Ballan Lions Club will charge 20% commission on sales in the exhibition. The money raised from the Photography Competition and Exhibition will go directly to Ballan District Health Care.

With entries closing on Saturday, 7 February, that leaves plenty of time to get snapping over January. Entries must be posted to the Lions Club.
