Artist's Description

Featured in the group This, That, and the Other Thing, January 26th, 2020.

The forested hills of Washington State’s eastern Pacific County played an important role in the development of the area. So much so that the public library in Raymond, Pacific County’s largest town (2010 population 2,882), is called the Timberland Library and across the street, in Fifth Street Park, there is a statue carved out of a cedar log called The Logger. The playground “equipment” in the part also pays homage to this legacy as you can see here. Just imagine sliding down the inside of a large tree root.

Taken September 5th, 2016, in Raymond, Pacific County, Washington, USA.

Nikon D7100 dslr, Nikkor 16-85 mm lens set at 62 mm. ISO 250, f /5.6, 1/250th second. Shot (by mistake) as a JPG, finished in Lightroom Classic and Photoshop CC 2020.
