Artist's Description

Looking east across the lake at The University of Montana’s Lodge at Salmon Lake. Built by the late Bruce Vorhauer, inventor of the Today Conceptive Sponge, The building and the island on which it sits was acquired by The University of Montana in 1995. Since 1997 it has served as a conference and retreat center both for University and for community groups. Accessible only by boat (or in the winter by crossing the lake ice), the lodge is a great place to get away and discuss important topics without the distraction of daily life. Of course the recreational opportunities afforded by Salmon Lake create their own distractions.

Taken with a Nikon D80 fitted with a Nikkor 16-85 mm lens set at 85 mm, ISO 125, f /13.0, 1/180 second.
