These two tractors, found on a farm near Lewistown, Montana, showcase for me the rich farming heritage across the treasure state. This image has been processed as an HDR image using three bracketed exposures, namely:
1) f /5.6 at 1/250 sec
2) f /5.6 at 1/1000 sec
3 f /5.6 at 1/4000 sec
using a Nikon D80 DSLR fitted with a Sigma 18-50 lens at 24 mm, ISO 125

this is a wonderful creation!!
Thank you for your kind comments.
Great tones and composition! Love the ‘weather’ in the background. :)
Very engaging photo… very nice! I like the storm clouds in the background too. Quite a wide range on those shutter-speeds!
Thanks, Randall. Yeah, I’m still working on figuring out HDR, but I’m pleased with the way this one turned out. As for those clouds, you should have seen the weather we got to drive home through. Not fun at all—and about 300 miles of it to get back to Missoula.
Thank you, Marie, for featuring my work.
Bryan, This is a lovely image. Congratulations on your feature in “Preserving History”!
