Artist's Description

Seat of the Episcopal Diocese of Spokane, Washington, USA, the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist sits in the Rockwood Section of Spokane, high on the south hills overlooking the city below. Construction of the Cathedral began in 1925. The rose window above the cathedral’s massive front doors, was designed by Charles Jay Connick, perhaps America’s premier stained glass artist, whose work is also seen in St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City, the Boston University Chapel in Massachusetts, Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, and many, many more churches and other edifices around the country.

Taken April 1st, 2017 in Spokane, Washington, USA.

Nikon D7100 DSLR, Nikkor 16-85 mm lens set at 70 mm. ISO 250, f /14, 1/60th second. Shot in RAW format, finished in Photoshop CC2015.
