Ruthless Before Lightning Which Comes After Roar

I dreamt of you last night.

I am standing, straddling double yellow lines
of a black top two lane highway
stretched across a vast red sand desert
surrounded by cracked earth, rooftop succulents
and tumbleweeds rolling like giant spiders

I know, like you do in dreams,
that there is someone directly behind me

Standing there
in your big bad cloak of valiant and tall
beyond the wind scattering dust from your skin
I never see you move
with every blink of my eyes
you get closer
a rattlesnake uncoiling before me
with your serpents tongue
offering candy poison caresses
flicking and licking
reaching out
towards the hairs at the nape of my neck
you get closer

A dry storm breaks out above us
thunder clamoring my ears like some suspended gong,
vibrating my insides
I know
I just know, like you do in dreams,
that I have lost
no longer clinging to the unrelenting, essential me

no hope of escaping the building quiver in my thighs

no hope of running
from the You
that exists in every grain of red sand beating against my cheeks

no hope of awakening
to reality, soothing like aloe the blisters building
beneath your

Lightning cracks above our heads
turning the cacti and red earth
into something volatile
and thrumming
and electric
matching the need
my need
this need
growing in the hard, hard center of the runaway me
to have you inside me
to have you here with me, any way at all

I reach out for you
just inches away
and we draw down together
mouths hot and scarlet and searching
skin on skin
touching and hissing and spitting
against this concrete
and storm
I lay beneath you
blasted and breathless and full of hope

and so we fuck

like you do in dreams
with senseless, suicidal fury
until I give over
give in
wanting only to avail myself of your every
devastating me sin
sheathed as you are in my body
your buttocks swelling and convulsing
towards the sky
my mouth screaming your name
its roar a tidal of exploding nightime
clinging and sticking like honey
I cleave off every last layer
of the wishing girl
desiring only to continue
to never stop

and so we fuck

with skin that guzzles you down
laps you up
opening as I am
as I do, as I must
with every thrust
my hard hearted ways to your black autumn lust
you scream my name
in a voice of nocturnal dust

as I wipe you away, all away
all away gone
from my mouth
from my thighs
from my heart
I wake up
I wake up!
My eyes open, aloft at the ceiling
chest heaving in residual waves

I lie there
sucking up great gulps of solace and air
until I notice
beyond the window
clouds gather
a storm approaching
and hear your midnight voice
bouncing off walls
whispering across lightning

I tremble.

it begins again

Artist's Description

This is third installment of my Storm series. The first can be found here and second can be found here

I almost always remember my dreams. Sometimes they are bizarre, sometimes full of horror, or sometimes crazy erotic. But always, almost always they are so vivid it can take awhile upon wakening to shake them off. This was one such dream…so lucid and visceral and real. I woke up with such an ache in my groin I cannot tell you.

Sucks to be single sometimes.

Anyhow…I hope you enjoy.
