Artist's Description

I should never have invited Tom Servo over to the house! He was supposed to stay a day. Now, it’s been two weeks. Says he’s waiting for his buddies Crowe and Joel and Mike, and probably the Evil Pearl, Dr. Frank and that idiotic ape-man, Bobo. In the meantime, he’s gone through every chip, every pretzel, every donut, every piece of candy in the house — now I’m out of Pepsi – I suspect he got into the liquor cabinet as well – and all he wants to do is watch himself on Mystery Science Theater, so I can’t even watch my shows!

(When your husband builds a famous robot, there are days you “Have To” set him up and take his photograph!)

For anybody unfamiliar with the show, Mystery Science Theater 3000 was a late-night show which featured science-fiction movies of the cheesiest variety: the hosts, first Joel and later Mike, were stranded out in space with Tom and Crowe T. Robot, forced to watch these groaners by the Evil Pearl and Dr. Frank. The show is no longer produced but has become a cult classic, today and you can find the parts for Tom and Crowe on e-Bay and other sites. The DVD’s are popular as well. Naturally, we own the set!
