Artist's Description

This is the sign for the Blue Moo, a hot dog stand in Dixon, Illinois.

Found It!

As a former sign painter, I know it isn’t perfect technically. The spacing’s off. The lay-out’s just a little wonky. The fonts aren’t perfect, either. All the more reason to love it! Especially in this day and age of cookie-cutter signs and tehcnical “correctness.” l love the cow. It’s cute, it’s funny, it’s appealing, and it has a hand painted feel to it even though it’s probaly silk-screened. Variation and creativity top “Perfection” every time, as far as I’m concerned! Besides, it led us to a GREAT Chicago-hot-dog stand ~ outside Chicago. We’ve been trying to find one for years. I posted that too. You can read about it/ click the link above. :)))
