Spaceship Earth
We’re all in this together!

I’m not sure what makes us think we need a starship to travel through the cosmos. We live on one already! And it’s journeying through space at break-neck velocity. At the equator, the Earth’s surface moves 40,000 kilometers in 24 hours, or approx. 1040 miles/hour as it spins. But that’s just the warm up. Earth also revolves aroiund the sun at a speed of about 18.5 miles/second. The sun and the entire solar system revolve around the Milky Way, a journey taking 250 million years for every orbit, at a mind-boggling speed of 155 miles/a second or 500,000 mph. The galaxy itself revolves around the Local Group, speeding even faster. We are traveling! And none of this takes into account the expansion of the Universe itself, nor do I know if the Universe is traveling too. You would need a point of reference to gauge that: possibly another Universe!

Spaceflight is really just exploring other regions of the starship.

Oh. And don’t forget ~ according to Einstein, it’s a Timeship, too since space and time are intertwined as one. No telling where we’re headed, is there? Buckle in/ it’s a Grand Adventure, let’s enjoy the ride! :-))
