Sun Drifts

Sun drifts
in and out—
under clouds—

along the bay
of discovery,
whitecaps

parade up,
the scent
of sea

kisses my face—
sweet, moist—
I lean toward.

To write
down words,
this poem

lurches forward,
awkward at first,
like waves,

stumbling shiny
sun in my eyes,
light, azure swirls

curl up like a cat
purrs, pearl world.

Artist's Description

Sunshine glinting off water and the thought of love is in the air, or thoughts of love, looking out to sea. It seems the perfect setting to contemplate love or the prospect of love. A dream story.
