9.7.07 Monday

Oooh, what a rainy day. I woke at 5am to torrential rain. Again, at 7, pouring. I hid back under the covers, thinking about how I could arrive@your house the driest and before you know it I had slept in. Lucky today is still holidays, and there is more grace with the time. I called Inna to let her know, and arrived with plenty of time to deliver her to the dentist.

On the way over, there was a warning to the bus driver of hail. There was more torrential rain for me to walk through, but used the ‘hunter underground’, caught the bus to the ‘Bay, and luckily, the rain had subsided.

So after we’d dropped Inna off to the dentist, there were plans to visit art galleries. No-all shut. This changed to perhaps a walk. We got to the lights across from Centennial Park. Then it began pouring, again. We did a little detour undercover. The rain stop started til we got to the car.

James’ hair got a little bit wet like ‘I wash my hair’ he says. Cute. He was keen to go after being a little wet. He’d been having fun runrunrunning, but when we did it to get out of the rain, it was all too much! We also saw a man and a dog, who was sitting by the mans’ side, just looking. Mr Fix It didn’t want to go up to it-‘I’m a bit scared’. D’oh. I knew that would catch on. A new tactic may be required. It’s ok to be cautious but not totally censored!

At home, we did some yoga stretches. Well, I tried t o show him the ones with fun names, like the dog, cat and snake. He did his own version. Laughing hysterically while he was at it. Exercise the way it is intended!

Lunch was a piece of white bread toast and peanut butter (his choice), a glass of water (reluctant sips) and two little Frankfurt’s. He had some juice earlier.

Adrian suggested fruit, Weetbix and lots of water when he called (I called him first, before calling your Local Family Clinic*) *I made an appointment for him there-11am on Thursday. They could not do it any other day, and it was the last slot available.

He enjoyed his bath with aplomb today. It was lovely and warm for a wintery day. The plastic hockey was quite amusing-when I lifted it out, it dripped a stream of water he was both squealing away from and playing with. Fun.

Mr Clumsy again today. He was still wiggley for sleep time-not as worn out as usual! He was in bed by 12.30 for sleeping, but sound by 1 I think.

I will probably take him for a visit to see the baby Callum today, if he wakes up soon!
