Artist's Description

If you’ve visited England, and Windsor in particular, then you may well have traversed the small pedestrian bridge which crosses the Thames and links the royal town of Windsor with the neighbouring village of Eton. From an artist’s viewpoint, this vantage point provides a marvellous view of the Eton Rowing Club buildings, restaurants etc.
Artist Al Benge has the following to say about this.
" I drew this pen and ink sketch whilst on holiday. I found a good spot on the Windsor Eton pedestrian bridge. I liked the old buildings – which lend themselves well to being treated with a line technique, and it was also very pleasant to sit in the sun and draw- yes, the weather was excellent – and listen to the splash of boats going past underneath. The drawing took about two hours, but time seems to fly when you’re interested in recording your surroundings. It was fun to get the comments of other people passing by – fortunately, most were complimentary !
