Living With Men;One woman’s point of view

I’m sure you have heard the saying, “It’s not easy being Green”.

Well to tell you the truth, I think it might be easier than being the only woman in a house full of men!

My home consists of two adult males, two male children and me, The only female. To top it off, our cat and dog are both male! Now I’m not complaining. To tell the truth, it makes life a bit simpler. No one is waiting to share my clothes or borrow my make up…..

Oh wait, I may have been a bit hasty with that comment.

My two boys are ages five and ten. They get to help with the chores like every other member of the family.

Someone has to fold clothes. So why not them? Seems harmless enough right?

That’s what I thought at least. Until I walked in on them modeling my underwear!

“Oh wow look at this!” is a comment no parent should here just as she remembers that she had a bra in the laundry!

You guessed it! I walk in and see a hefty little five year old boy with a big grin on his adorable little face as he is trying on my bra! Of course the ten year old acts all innocent. But the uncontrollable giggling gives him away.

The boys had been modeling my undergarments! Forget blushing! Forget ever having any secrets! Because now if I forget to get my under garments out of the laundry before my darling little helpers get to them, they will be left out for anyone to see!

No kidding!

I have been enjoying a visit with a friend and look over and see my panties laying on the top of the couch! Or better yet, a bra stuffed between the cushions!

I am sure everyone now thinks I am either a very forgetful woman, or that my husband and I have a very active sex life. That one is true but I don’t leave my undies laying everywhere! I am a southern lady you know. I do tend to be a bit discreet.

So I guess the borrowing clothes statement is null and void.

But I still have my make up and cosmetics all to myself right? Wrong!

Ever put on makeup with a little darling touching everything and asking, Ooh what’s that? Can I try it?

But it is rewarding. Every time I put on a nice dress and dust my face with a bit of powder, I hear the sweetest words,

“You look pretty Margarita! Where are we going?”

Yes life is never dull around our house. We learn a lot from each other.

Me, I learned to keep my underwear hid, to keep the bathroom door locked during showers and never ever, take a little boy into the restroom with you unless you are prepared to explain why you sit down to pea.

It could be worse I guess.

My sister’s little boy was upset for days when he discovered his mommy in the shower and saw that her “goober” had been washed down the shower drain!

Ah yes, life is full of surprises.

My house is full of males.

And my life days are filled of laughter.

Hope your week is a great one!
