Fallen Angel

My wings they tore into a thousand pieces and now I’m walking on glass
My halo burned in flames of hatred the girl i knew is dead
Screaming to the heavens, ‘why have you set me free?’
This world I do not know of, what is happening to me?
The blindfold fell from my eyes, the world had turned to black,
I knew this was my life now, never to go back…

Artist's Description

This poem is about the innocence of youth and how from losing your way as you grow up and discovering and exploring new things with your new-found curiosity you may get lost along the way and shunned by those around you whether it be your friends, family, religion or even society.
