FOG ON LADEN LAND

A heavy fog it settles as a vibrant moon disappears,
and the rays of light go missing like a sea of swallowed tears.
And as my feet grow light and weary and I can’t see sky or ground,
I feel my spirit awakened and intertwinded with my surround.

There is things that sit around me, as they whisper to my soul,
There are echoes that sit and listen, like a storm through valley walls.
And as a sailor all alone at sea who guides only by the stars,
im as lost as a shepards flock which has vanished from the yards.

And as a fierce wind it blows briskly and the fog she drifts and spins,
i begin to see the faces and figures of these nameless unsettled things.
And when it finally lifts and I see all that’s in my way,
I miss this enchanted experience and pray for another foggy day.
