ROADS LEADING TO NOWHERE EVER KNOWN

I walked down that road once or twice,
that road that twist and turns your life;
The one you think will never end, turn a corner another bend.
There the horison is now in view, but the further it gets if you pursue.

What looks like a short and effortless distance,
cannot be reached regardless of persistance.
Though each day the sun still rises and the moon still falls,
Still I walk proud and tall.
the clouds close over and a violent storm ahead,
I wont stop and smile instead.
I get struck with lightning and pelted with rain,
still I endure through hurt and through pain.

I travel further down that road, up ahead a lonely crossroad.
A crossroad is a dangerous section, a different story in each direction.
Left, right or straight ahead, or should I turn back and retrace my tread?

Which ever way I decide to turn,
Whatever experience I encouter and lessons I learn,
crossroad fork or intersection,
storm or calm or vivid dreams peception.
I know I will be back on the road one day,
pondering and walking a different way.
