Artist's Description

I do love these boisterous birds. They come for peanuts and we can have as many as forty coming and going. Their loud calls can either reassure or panic the bird population nearby. Sometimes we get a hawk, the Cooper’s Hawk is most common, and the Blue Jays warn the others – everyone freezes in place for a couple minutes. Quite a sight!

This picture was taken January 25, 2014, in Green Lane, Pennsylvania, USA. I used my Tamron 150-600 mm lens through the kitchen window:>)

Dedicated to all the colors of blue you can fit on one bird!
