Artist's Description

Mental prison is something we build ourselves.
For example, when we want to do something, and we are afraid from failure,
We say I can’t do it, and so we end up bored and unsatisfied from our life.
Of course, there is always somebody that will discourage you from doing what you want. For instance, parents might say you can’t make a living from art, you better learn computers or something else.
Bad relationship is another mental prison.

The image was taken at the prisoners museum in Acre Fortress Israel, it is composed from two images of the same corridor taken from opposite sides.
Acre Fortress was built in the Ottoman Period Crusader foundations that were at times combined with later construction.
At the end of the Ottoman Period, it served as the palace of the rulers of Acre,
military barracks, munitions warehouse for standing army, and a prison.
During the British Mandate period, hundreds of underground members were imprisoned here.
The fortress also served as one of the largest prisons in Israel, and it held both political and criminal offenders, Jews and Arabs.
