Artist's Description

While the song’s title does not relate to the road I’m walking, some of the helpless and hopeless sentiment in the lyrics certainly does. Sinead O’Connor sings, “I can do anything I want; I can eat my dinner in a fancy restaurant, I can see whomever I choose…” but this freedom is not bringing her what she wants. My lifetime of living for the expectations of others is supposed to be changing. My therapist, friends and family all say that I’m free to make decisions for ME, so apparently I have the freedom to do so. I don’t know how to live with me at the top of the priority list, so my freedom is not yet bringing to me what I want. There’s still a lot of road ahead.
The title of the song could be seen as how I have always viewed the importance of the people around me, because I have never been as important as them.
