Getting it up!

The righting of Artemis team at the Americas Cup 2011, Plymouth Sound.

Taken from Plymouth Hoe on the last day of the Americas Cup, 18-Sep-11.

This set of 6 shots show the righting of the Artemis team, who capsized about half way in front of Drakes Island and drifted here!

While these pics may not stand up on their own (no pun intended) they show an interesting sequence of events.

My 50th Birthday at the Torbay Steam Fair, Devon

Went to the Torbay Steam Fair and met up with friends and fellow Bubblers Richard, David, Martin and girlfriend Jan.…

I was very impressed, there was so much to see and it’s not every day I get to ride on one of these magnificent beasties!! It was terrific to see in some cases three generations all riding on their traction engine. Not to mention all the dedicated characters involved and the kids parading on their miniature machines.

The weather was kind to us also and what started out as a dull and overcast day turned out sunny in the afternoon, I even got a sun tan or was that the coal dust! LoL A great day out!!

Here’s a selection of some of the more amusing pics of the day.
