Welcome to my profile

My name is Sue and I live on the SW fringe of Dartmoor National Park in the beautiful county of Devon.

I bought my first camera, a 35mm, back in 1980, and that is when I really caught the photography bug. Having continued with film into the millennium, I purchased my first real digital camera in ’05 and progressed to an Olympus E510 in ’07, and have now gone one step further and just (1st Aug ’11) bought a Pentax K-5, with the 18-55 and 50-200 lenses, so I am busy learning how to use that.

Apart from photography, my other interests include Walking, Sailing, and I also play in a Samba Band, so my photography plays an important part in those, and living close to the sea and the moor, I have plenty of photo opportunities on my doorstep.

Since being on RB, I have made many friends and attended a few group meets, which is a great way of getting new ideas and tips from other people.
