voodoo passion of a one night stand

voodoo passion of a one night stand
a side show shadow silhouettes stillborn
silent no moans…please no names
strangers getting strange mouth to mouth
wet slide glide inside…gush…slipping slips out
call to prayer western guilt eastern style
the side show shadow silhouettes stillborn
voodoo passion of a one night stand
silently the slave ships cargo bound
shackled fettered…oh yes…it is fear
call to prayer eastern style western guilt
strangers getting strange mouth to mouth
moan groans memento mori…messy la petite mort
wet slide glide inside…gush…slips slipping out
motion motionless caked and dried
silently the slave ships cargo bound
shackled fettered…oh yes…it is fear
the prelude interlude and the prequel
déjà vu sequels repeat repeating itself
guiltless are the guilty naiveté
civil disobedience is best for change in
civil society of smug cognoscente complacency
strangers getting strange mouth to mouth
wet slide glide inside…gush…slips slipping out
call to prayer western guilt eastern style
call to prayer eastern style western guilt
silently the slave ships cargo bound
shackled fettered…oh yes…it is fear
voodoo passion of a one night stand
a side show shadow silhouettes stillborn

Artist's Description

Life is one déjà vu metaphor of messy clichés of of…?…everything that could possible happen has already happened…?…birth life death…?…love lost love found…?…murder one on one…?…mass murders et al on a scale so obscene it makes you vomit…?…greed lies deceit…?…a variation on a theme…?…pick a theme or a scenario…?…,“What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.” Understand that that expression precedes Ecclesiastics 1:9 and is older than recorded history…it all happen before in another time on this planet…so long ago…Big Bang and then evolution or…,“let us make man in our image…”…it is all déjà vu…side note an obscure footnote folded under in a page in The Book of Ruminations…,“the human condition is a condition”…and then we die…c’est la vie.
