Near Gibson Dam, west of Augusta, Montana, we found this young black bear eating chokecherries. He was high in the tree, picking and choosing the best tasting berries.
We enjoyed seeing him there. It was fun to see how comfortable he was way up in the tree. Sometimes, he lay sideways, across branches, sometimes he sat his little round bottom on the branches, using it like a recliner chair.
He performed for us like a circus clown!
