Artist's Description

Mother nature’s premier musician , spotlighted,, while eagerly awaiting the beginning of another day, to begin her morning song. A song for regeneration, the sprouting of new pathways (dendrites), like the tree awaiting its own, , the sprouting of new ‘leaves’; and the bird, for its own kind.

Lonely bird on a tree
flying from tree to tree
oh, the joy to be free
when the morning’s a treat!

Hey ya, Little dove!
every time we meet
don’t you think this land
We’re losin’ a bit?

Lo! The mighty tree
you give the air we breathe
hold the earth that feeds
still, they take an axe to your feet?

Greetings! Holy cow,
they drink your milk to grow
your man’s strength to plow
and yet, they eat your meat?

Morning Mr.Dog
dew glistening on your hair
why the sadness on your face
is your master part of this kind?

(Inspired by a bird, alone, as was I, content in her solitude, flying between two trees, enjoying the dawn, the freedom and grace, of a brand-new day – while whistling, her somewhat melancholic song. Therein, perhaps, is the story.)
