Quite literally! :-) This is not lens distortion, that’s the actual shape of the land, accentuated by the low sharp sun just before the sunset. This is in Hursley (Winchester, UK) just a few meters away from this:
[Konica-Minolta 5D (720nm conversion); Sigma 17-70@17mm; f:9, 1/200sec, ISO-100; LR3]
hursley infrared ir
I do appreciate the composition and the post-processing, but I can’t help but think the IR conversion took out more than it put in. Just a personal aversion to it, that’s all.
Fair enough! I know IR is not to everyone’s taste :-) Thanks Stefan
Whoa – looks like it’s literally rolling like the waves.Love the long, long shadows as well.
Thanks Vik, It doesn’t look real, does it? It is 100% real though :-)
WWWWWow! Incredible distortion created here. I don’t know how you did it but it’s incredible perspective!
Many thanks Debi, also for the favouring! I didn’t do it, mother nature did!!! That’s the physical layout of the hill, it’s not artificial distortion. Amazing, isn’t it?
WOW … well how clever of you to capture it the way you did!
A wonderful catch of this bit of rock & roll. Marvelous.
Thank you very much Sheila :-) I like "bit of Rock’n’Rol’ as a title, I wish I had thought of that!
