Please check out my website / www.mo.godbeer.com / I teach encaustic classes throughout Australia, have blow torch will travel.

I live off grid in a caravan with my beautiful partner and we travel the highways and byways of Australia. I teach encaustic art workshops as we travel. Its an awesome life seeing new places, meeting great people, exploring and living life to the full.
My present work revolves around nature, symbolism and memory. I like to work with elements which are changed by nature, I like to find the smaller picture rather than the bigger picture in my work, uncovering the small overlooked details that are both unique and beautiful.
These elements, as they change with time, are paralleled in the human condition, which is another area of exploration for me. I find it hard to be tied down to one place and my best works evoke an emotional response in me; I hope they will affect the viewer in the same way.
Like most of us, I am trying to better understand what it is to be human, and for me, creating art is the natural path on this journey of self-discovery. It excites me to translate an idea or emotion onto a physical surface. Jackson Pollock once said “Because a painting has a life of its own, I try to let it live.” Those serendipitous moments when a painting does takes on it’s own life are the absolute perfect moments for me as an artist.
