with time comes knowledge maybethe eyes are still a alert which would indicate so is the mindwonderful sp margot
Yes, more knowledge and enough left over to know there is more to learn and learn but probably never act wiser! The Mother is going on 95 and is quick and sharp, but she can’t see much; win some, lose some! Thanks, charlie … I feel relaxed [at last].
:) Hey, I have that filter, too!!!! When I get to heaven, one of the questions on the long list….“Why the puffy eyes?” I adore this portrait.
LoL ! You are tooo funny! My question will be, “Why did the eyebrows go whacko?” Gotta remember my friend’s mother who was so tan and wrinkled from sailing all over the world and she said she didn’t mind at all and would do it all over again. Ya know, I don’t even care and I hope I caught a bit of that feeling.
Do I see a cigarette? Then I’m gonna really love this more. I smoke. P.S. Love the ring.
:: nods in shame :: The ring is The Mother’s – she can’t wear it anymore and asked if I would. Sad and sweet.Thank you for making me feel like a member of The Club! xoxo
how nice it is to see you…!
Must do a self-check every so often … thank you, Ixchel (and I do love your name that way!)
We are what we are, eh? :) And life bless us everyone!
P.S. I thought your eyebrows were great! Acutally thought….she is doing such good work with those eyebrows. Isn’t that weird?
Oh I tell you : I can’t keep up with all the crazy things going on! Like mutinous eyebrows. Was up at 2 a.m. watching the Pope’s installation (!!) and suddenly just decided to take a picture in the usual staring-at-the-computer pose. Yes, we is what we is!
P.P.S. Bet I smoke lots more than you.
You surprise me … I think it gives us something to do with our hands or an oral fixation like chewing on stems of glasses? Hey, your turn… we only get to see your camera!
This is beautiful – have plenty of special effects myself – love the straight on look
“Smoke and mirrors?” Getting old is weird. I liked getting a what is for me ‘normal’ pose… always gesturing and hands in hair. Thank you, Karen!
…twenty years Penelope waited (and for what…?…Odysseus a caricature of Greek tragedy of male reality of homo-erotic narcissistic warrior stuff while he and the boys were traipsing all over the place…oh yeah he didn’t really want to go…WTF and miss out on The Odyssey…?…MEN!!!) …fade in fade out…Betty knew a thing or two…,“old age is no place for sissies” and certainly not for the vain all stretched out to cartoonist plastic squeaky balloonish wrinkle-less squeaking squeaky squeaks of skin tight Halloweenish masks stitched together…it all fades eventually into a melange of shoulda coulda woulda and then the why not of it all…unless of course the path less taken (OMFG not The Odyssey!!!)…so wove Penelope fade in fade out…life is a tapestry of wrinkles and all…Betty was so wise…with those Betty Davis eyes…it’s a great life if you don’t weaken…smoke’m if you got’m…
ha ha … you don’t really hear about Odysseus missing Penny too much .. Sirens being so much more fun. But why should she give up and be stuck with one of those jerks always hanging around. aHa! Do art : strike a sneaky bargain! oops, I stray. What is the obsession with “Beauty,” anyway… I thought old ladies had the privilege of being eccentric and opinionated : much more fun! Loving your visits, Sir!
