Gabriel Announced that Glory Would Come!

Gabriel announced that Glory would come!
baby Jesus
with cheeks dusted gold,
would Grace the Earth
for 33 years,

Gabriel announced with trumpeted
Mankind would be Given
a Shield,
The Blood of His Heart
would Redeem Adam
to the Last Man born

Servant to the Almighty
flew from heaven
to earth,
to meet the mother
of the Lord,
immense wing span
in Heaven
he trumpeted
what would
be Grace
where prophets lips
once burned
and died,

Exquisite Royalty
would be birthed in utter humility
His Splendor erased,
His mother would be woman

God would Give His Only Begotten Son
whose Soul was One with His
“Immanuel” will come
God with us,
will dwell in an earthly tabernacle
where once He sat between
where Seraphim covered
their hands and feet
trembling and shouting,
“Holy! Holy! Holy!”
Night and Day
an Eternity
Jesus would strip the Many Layers
of His Blinding White Glory
to enter the trappings of frail
subject to thorns of suffering
He would now bleed.

A woman would provide
her womb
for Her Saviour
Mary, Handmaiden of the Lord
would nurse Him
so inconceivable,
“How can this be?”
innocence asked,
“I do not know a man?”
“The Holy Spirit will come upon you
and the Power of the Highest
will overshadow you”

“The Great I Am”

will reside within,
Messiah, Son of God,
Son of Man, Lord,
In this hour, she would
be mother to,
Gabriel, steadied her
only a trembling teenager
she found Grace in God’s Gaze,

“Blessed are you among women.”

she pondered this in her heart,
the Mysteries, the Wisdom, the Love,
Glory, Knowledge and Hope
she would cradle,
her lullaby would raise
Him to Man.
In an obscure town,
Glory would lay his infant body
in a dirty stable,
with donkeys and cows
as subjects,
now shepherds would bow
where angels of old
and great living creatures
once gave their worship.
