Artist's Description

I am a volunteer Photographer for the Special Olympics – a world-wide organization dedicated to helping people with intellectual disabilities to succeed in life by involving them in sport activities. These people are often misunderstood, ignored, neglected, ridiculed, isolated, and excluded from many social activities. It is wonderful to see the results of the Special Olympics on their spirits and their souls.

The entire series

I will donate the proceeds from the sales of these photos to the Special Olympics.

Winner of a Silver Award in the The Worldwide Photography Gala Awards Portrait & People juried competition

Part of a series that got a Honorable Mention at the The Worldwide Photography Gala Awards THE STORYTELLER juried competition.

Selected in a juried competition at the Center for Fine Art Photography to be exhibited both in the Center’s gallery and in the Center’s online gallery. The exhibit is Human + Being.

Featured in the “Disabled People” group
