Artist's Description

This is a mixed media sculpture.
100% of the materials used are “junk”: broken watches, discarded engine alternator, electronic circuit boards and other parts from discarded devices, broken camera parts, found rusty cans, used bulbs, rusty nails, found horseshoe crab shell, discarded toy parts, discarded video camera lens, found rusty metal objects, used batteries, discarded CDs, broken shower head.

Selected for an exhibit juried by Janet Bishop, The Weisel Family Curator of Painting and Sculpture at The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. The exhibit is NEW DIRECTIONS ’15, Barrett Art Center’s (Poughkeepsie, NY) Annual National Juried Contemporary Art Exhibition.

3rd Place in the 5th annual Figurative competition of the Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery in the 3D Art category. The competition received 643 entries from 21 different countries.
