I do volunteer work at a Carmelite monastery. The nuns in residence make sure the gardens are always filled with flowers and beautiful statuary. Here is Our Lady of Grace, a statue of the Blessed Mother, which has graced their grounds for many many years. Recently, the statue was refurbished and the nuns asked me to photograph it. Here she is in all her loveliness. The cloistered nuns carry on a lively correspondence with people all over the world and have need for many greeting cards. They love sending cards that portray the monastery and I love making them for them. It’s like a ministry for me. I don’t make any money, but it’s gratifying to know these cards are being used to send cheer and hope all over the globe. I decided to show one or two. Hope you like them.
