Artist's Description

An amazing feat of architecture on Lantau Island, Hong Kong. A huge bronze statue of Buddha which dominates the skyline, sits atop a Buddhist temple at Ngong Ping. The faithful and tourists alike travel aboard cable cars for approximately 25 minutes to reach the summit. A further walk and many stairs are climbed to reach the base of the statue. This image is taken at the base. I was intrigued by the lines and curves. . Image taken with Canon G9 and converted to monotone.Texture added in PSCS3

(More images to follow of the giant Buddha)
