Artist's Description

Iceland: A surreal landscape captured on Mid-Sommer’s night, around 1AM in the morning. The location was near Dettifoss, the most powerful waterfall in Europe. The landscape was strewn with basalt and granite boulders from past volcanic activity. The full moon was also a “Super Moon”. It rose, hung low to the horizon for about 5 hours and then slowly disappeared again. The sun was just dipping below the horizon and within 30 minutes would be rising again. The sun’s rays illuminated the tops of the boulders creating a two-tone effect.
