Artist's Description

Day 6 – this was a lot of fun! A monoprint that I scanned into the computer, played with in Photoshop, printed on watercolour paper and played with it some more with washes. It looks watery because the paper’s wrinkled – I will have to stretch it if I put it in a frame, but I like the effect. It’s a zebra shark – the stripes are not always so obvious as on this specimen: they turn into spots as the fish become mature. It can grow to 3 metres long but is not dangerous to humans – however, they are dangerous to it as they hunt it for its flesh, fins and liver oil – and it gets turned into fish meal.
