You

You

You touch a deep tender part of me.
You cuddle and hold and study with your eyes.
We speak and listen to the sound of our voices.
Both left wanting in the wake of good-byes.

You’ve come to taste a sweet blissful moment.
And follow each crag wall and rough raging stream.
You’ve conquered the puritan nay saying squanderers.
You dabble now with wild restless dreams.

You are a quick glistening, forbidden flower.
I’ve plucked and smelled your bittersweet romance.
You walk a thorn-laden wondrous journey.
Evening now falls as you join in the dance.

You are a flame of glorious pleasure.
You’re brilliant, and shining, and dazzling, and mine.
Your will has captured the essence of scheming.
My will has dared to hold yours in time.
